Dog Control Office
The Dog Control Officer is appointed by the Town Board. His responsibilities include ensuring that the Local Dog Law is being enforced, answering complaint calls from residents, and seeing that dogs in the Township are licensed and have current rabies shots.
He is on call 24/7 to help residents with any dog problems that are encountered. The Town of Waddington does have a Local Law which is designed to protect the health, safety and well-being of persons and property by imposing restrictions on the keeping and running-at-large of dogs within the Town. It also contains provisions for the licensing of all dogs 4 months or older that live in the Town of Waddington. |
